Residents <br />also requested more shade. <br />■ The revised tot lot design in the new location was presented to the Parks and <br />Recreation Commission on May 9, 2019 and the Commission made a <br />recommendation to proceed. <br />■ The City Council approved the location of the tot lot and awarded a purchase <br />order with Ross Recreation for the installation of the playground on June 18, <br />2019. <br />❖ Construction on the tot lot began on September 16, 2019. <br />❖ Notifications for the public outreach for the landscape improvements proposed for <br />the park were sent out on September 23, 2019 and the outreach event is scheduled <br />to occur on Saturday, October 5, 2019. <br />BASKETBALL COURT REPLACEMENTS <br />The basketball courts in all Pleasanton parks were analyzed to determine which courts <br />required renovation. In 2018 the City resurfaced five courts (Tennis and Community, <br />Meadows, and Tawny Parks). In 2019 the City plans to resurface two courts — one at <br />Meadowlark Park and one at Ken Mercer Sports Park. <br />Project status: Construction of the basketball courts at Meadowlark and Ken Mercer <br />Sports Park is underway. <br />■ The City compiled the construction documents for resurfacing the two basketball <br />courts at Meadowlark and Ken Mercer Sports Park in June. <br />❖ The bid opening for the Basketball Court Resurfacing at Meadowlark and Ken <br />Mercer Sports Park occurred on August 7, 2019. One qualified bid was received <br />from Vintage Contractors, Inc. in the amount of $155,550. <br />❖ City Council awarded the project to Vintage Contractors, Inc. on September 3, 2019. <br />Page 4 of 9 <br />
