In a C or I district <br />diffused illumination closer than 200 feet to the boundary of a site and visible <br />beyond the boundary of the site shall not have a surface brightness greater <br />than 200 foot-lamberts. <br />2.A sign within 100 feet of an R district from which the sign is visible shall <br />have illumination, if any, that is white and is indirect or diffused and shall not <br />have a surface brightness greater than 100 foot-lamberts. <br />3.No sign shall have blinking, flashing or fluttering lights or any other <br />illuminating device which has a changing light intensity, brightness or color. <br />4.No illuminated sign shall be located so as to be confused with or to <br />resemble any warning traffic-control device. <br />5.Neither the direct nor reflected light from primary light sources shall <br />create a traffic hazard to operators of motor vehicles. <br />C.Movement. No sign that moves, has visible moving parts, or that simulates <br />movement by means of fluttering, spinning, or reflecting devices shall be permitted. <br />(Prior code § 2-9.39) <br />18.96.060 Signs in C, MU and I districts. <br />No sign or outdoor advertising structure shall be permitted in a C, MU or I district except <br />the following: <br />B.C-C and MU Districts.
