302.7 Tests. Tests on water piping systems constructed of plastic piping shall not use <br />compressed air for the test. <br />302.8 Maintenance. Pools and spas shall be maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, and <br />in good repair. <br />302.8.1 Manuals. An operating and maintenance manual in accordance with industrY- <br />accepted standards shall be provided for each piece of equipment requiring maintenance. <br />20.55.040 ISPSC Section 303 Energv amended. <br />Section 303 is deleted in its entirety and amended to read as follows: <br />303.1 Energv. All pool and spa energy consumption shall meet the requirements in the current <br />California Energv Efficiency Standards. <br />20.55.050 ISPSC Section 304.2 Determination of impacts based on location amended. <br />Section 304.2 is amended to read as follows: <br />304.2 Determination of impacts based on location. Pools and spas located in flood hazard <br />areas indicated within the City of Pleasanton shall comply with 304.2.1 or 304.2.2. <br />The remainder of Section 304.2 is unchanged. <br />20.55.060 ISPSC Section 305 Barrier requirements amended. <br />Section 305 is deleted in its entirety and amended to read as follows: <br />305.1 General. Barriers or enclosures are required at outdoor pools and spas and shall comply <br />with the California Building Code and the requirements of Sections 305.1, 305.2 and other <br />applicable sections of this code. <br />305.1 Pools and spas at single-family homes. The design of barriers or enclosures for <br />restricting entry into areas having pools and spas at asingle-family private home shall comply <br />with the California Building Code Section 3109. <br />305.2 Public pools. The design of barriers or enclosures for restricting entry into areas having <br />public pools and spas as defined in the California Building Code Section 31 B shall comply <br />with the California Building Code Section 31198. <br />305.2 Outdoor swimming pools and spas. Outdoor pools and spas shall be surrounded by a <br />barrier or enclosure that isolates a swimming pool and meets the requirements in California <br />Building Code Section 3109 and the California Health and Safety Code Section 115923, or the <br />California Building Code Section 31196, as applicable. <br />20.55.070 ISPSC Section 306 Decks amended. <br />Section 306.1 is amended to read as follows: <br />306.1 General. The structural design and installation of decks around pools and spas shall be in <br />accordance with the California Building Code or the California Residential Code, as applicable. <br />Section 306.9.1 is amended to read as follows: <br />306.9.1 Hose bibbs.
