ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT <br /> Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines, Section 15183, <br /> because this project is consistent with the City's General Plan it is entitled to a streamlined <br /> environmental review process. Additionally, this project is categorically exempt from <br /> environmental review pursuant to CEQA Guidelines, Section 15332, In-fill Development <br /> Projects, Class 32. Therefore, no environmental document accompanies this report. <br /> SUMMARY/CONCLUSION <br /> As proposed and conditioned, staff believes that the proposed uses will be compatible with the <br /> surrounding businesses and will not detrimentally affect the surrounding uses or properties. <br /> Conditions of approval have been included which will ensure that the safety and general <br /> welfare of the surrounding area, and the City in general, is maintained.
