second -tiered Brilliant 100 is 100% carbon -free, with at least 40% of the energy derived
from renewable sources (20% solar, 20%wind, 60% large hydroelectric). Its rates are
the same as PG&E's standard plan. EBCE's highest -tiered Renewable 100 offers 100%
renewable and carbon -free energy (50% solar, 50% wind) and is $0.01 /kWh more than
PG&E's standard plan, which translates to approximately $4.00/month more than
PG&E's electric service for an average residential customer. PG&E also offers a 100%
renewable option called SolarChoice (100% solar), and it is approximately $0.02/kWh
more than PG&E's standard service (or $8.00/month more for an average residential
customer).
Table 2 below compares the cost of various electricity options for typical residential
customers and Table 3 makes the same comparison for typical small business
customers, based on published rates as of September 1, 2018.
Bright Brilliant Renewable i PCrE
Choice 100 100 Stctw
•r . r r
Generation Rate 0.07217 O Q7379 0.08379 0.10780 009436
($/kWh)
PG&E Delivery 0.13387 0133$7 0..13387 0.13387 0.13387
Rate ($1kWh)
PG&E PCIA/FF 0.03401 0.03401 0.03401 to/A 0 03346
($/kWh)
Total Electricity 0.24005 0.?4167 0.25167 0.24167 0.26169
cost ($Ikwn)
Table 2 - EBCE and PGCE Rate Comparisons for a Typical Residential Customer
Page 5 of 20
- ' '
Average Monthly Bill
363.31 365.8D 38123 365.80 37D.13
($)
Generation Rate
0.061129 I 0;119190 0.10718 0.09071
($/kWh)
PG&E Delivery Rate
0.12941 i 0. 0:12441 0.12441
($/kWh)
PG&EPCIA/FF
0.02528 0.02528 0.02528 N/A 0.02466
($/kWh)
TotalElectncityCost
0.23498 023659 024659 0.23654 0.24478
($/kWh)
