These include but are not limited to; glass,
paper, cardboard, plastics, food waste or organic materials, and many others listed
on PGS's website.
DESCRIPTION
• Each facility has blue recycle cans located throughout for the deposit of mixed
recycled materials such as clean paper, plastic bottles and aluminum cans.
These blue cans are not lined with plastic bags and must be emptied every
night.
• The blue cans MUST be emptied into the larger Blue can or dumpster
designated for mixed recycled materials supplied by PGS. They MUST NOT be
emptied into a dumpster or can with regular trash or organic materials. Only
non-recyclables are allowed in trash cans.
• Some facilities have green recycle cans located in break rooms and kitchens
for the deposit of organic materials such as food waste and food soiled paper.
These green cans are to be lined with a compostable bag and must be emptied
every night.
• Blue and Green recycle cans shall be washed if they become sticky or
contaminated in any way that makes them unpresentable or unacceptable for
use with recycled products.
• The Commercial Recycling Program is a dynamic process. Regulations, rules
and policies may change over time and the program will be adjusted to reflect
those changes.
Page 57
