HOURS OF SERVICE <br />All services shall be rendered at times that will not interfere with the normal operations, special <br />events, or alternate shifts of the building being serviced. The Police Department private offices <br />will be serviced during the day shift by arrangement with the Chief of Police, Monday through <br />Friday. No service to the private offices on weekends. <br />Depending on program schedules, the Amador Theater, Veterans Memorial Hall, Senior Center <br />and the Firehouse Arts Center service may not begin before midnight. Contractor will be <br />provided a monthly calendar on programmed events. <br />SUPERVISION —NOT INCLUDED IN FY 2019120 <br />Contractor shall provide a Supervisor or Foreperson who is not part of the working janitorial <br />crews) to perform management and technical supervision required to complete the work <br />according to the specifications provided by the City. Employees) assigned to supervise the <br />work shall be readily available, responsive to the City's representatives) and capable of <br />speaking and understanding the English language and have the authority to make decisions <br />related to the management of the activities performed by the Contractor's employees. <br />INSPECTIONS <br />The Contractor's Supervisor or Foreman shall perform inspections before the start of City <br />facilities' normal working hours. The non -working supervisor or foreperson shall check and verify <br />that all scheduled daily work has been completed. Inspections shall occur on at least a weekly <br />basis, or as directed by the Operations Superintendent. <br />All of the service areas will be inspected regularly by the City. The City may require the Contractor, <br />or its local authorized representative, to accompany City staff during inspections, if the City is not <br />satisfied with the Contractor's work. The Contractor or the local authorized representative is <br />expected to be capable of understanding the deficiencies and authorized to take action in a manner <br />consistent with the contract requirements and specifications. <br />UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE <br />If the City, upon routine inspection, determines that any facility has not been serviced according <br />to the specifications, anotice outlining the deficiencies will be e-mailed to the company <br />representative or faxed to the Contractor's local office. Payment will not be made for any <br />services not provided by Contractor. All notices of deficiencies will specify the date when the <br />specified work must be completed. The date of completion shall be less than five (5) days from <br />the date the notice is issued. Failure to complete the work to the satisfaction of the City by the <br />date specified will result in no payments being made to the contractor for the missed work. <br />Prior to re -submitting a request for payment, the Contractor must request a re -inspection. A re- <br />inspection request should be completed in writing to the City and either faxed or e-mailed to the <br />Operations Superintendent. If the work is deemed satisfactory upon re -inspection, the City will <br />accept a request for payment, minus ($100) charge for re -inspection. Any time an additional <br />inspection is required as a result of inadequate performance, the ($100) re -inspection charge will <br />be assessed for each inspection completed by the City until the specified work is completed. <br />Page � 11 <br />
