Commissioner Parikh also indicated that she liked the report and that it was covering programs <br />and activities for children of all ages. <br />COMMISSION REPORTS <br />6. Little Free Library Committee Update <br />Commissioner Skowlund provided information about a Little Free Library installed at the <br />Firehouse Arts Center that is to be support by The Friends of the Library and Commissioner <br />Nibert, commented on the interest in this project by businesses and customers. She also <br />provided. information about a planned Press Release. Commissioner Nibert advised that May <br />24, 2019 would The the last meeting of the group because they have accomplished what they <br />Wanted. <br />Commissioner_ Nibert further advised that not everyone with a Little Free Library. wants their <br />location information. included on. a map. She also discussed locations of the libraries, other <br />areas they are needed , working with scouts on suggested- projects, and informing people <br />about service project opportunities. <br />,.Commissioner Nibert commented on the Story Walk project, businesses that are enthusiastic <br />to, participate, and the lack of. window spaces to participate in the project. Ms. Murphy <br />indicated that. she felt it would be better to do this project along Main Street and also <br />commented on ADA compliance requirements that need to be considered. <br />Ms. Bushong provided additional information and Commissioner Nibert commented on the <br />route length. Commissioner Skowlund felt.the local bookstore should also be selling copies <br />of the book. <br />.Chairperson Hertle requested that the -committee move forward on other ideas. <br />7.
