Bill Title Description City <br /> Position <br /> AB 1485 Housing Modifies existing Government Code Section Oppose <br /> (Wicks) development: 65913.4, which implements streamlined processing <br /> incentives. for certain affordable housing projects to: <br /> • Change minimum affordability requirements <br /> for projects qualifying for streamlining from <br /> 10% of total units, at an affordability level of <br /> 80% of Area Median Income (AMI) or less; <br /> to 20% of total units at an affordability level <br /> of 120% AMI or less, and with average <br /> income of the affordable units to be at or <br /> below 100% AMI. <br /> • Require the rents for units dedicated to <br /> households between 80% and 120% AMI to <br /> also be at least 20% below the fair market <br /> rent for the county. <br /> • Allow developer to use a unit of affordable <br /> housing to satisfy the requirements of SB35 <br /> and any other state or local affordability <br /> requirement. <br /> AB 1487 San Francisco Would authorize the creation of the Housing Oppose <br /> (Chiu) Bay area: Alliance for the Bay Area (HABA), a new <br /> housing intergovernmental entity with the power to raise <br /> development: and allocate funds for more affordable homes and <br /> financing. protections for long-term residents and renters <br /> throughout the Bay Area. The entity would be <br /> administered by the Metropolitan Transportation <br /> Commission (MTC) and Association of Bay Area <br /> _ Governments (ABAG). <br /> SB 6 Residential Would require HCD to furnish the Department of Oppose <br /> (Beall) development: General Services with a list of local lands suitable unless <br /> available land. and available for residential development— such amended <br /> information is required to be identified by a local <br /> government as part of its general plan housing. <br /> The bill would require the Department of General <br /> Services to create a publicly accessible internet <br /> database of that information and information <br /> regarding state lands determined or declared <br /> excess. <br /> Page 3 of 10 <br />
