■ The City met with the Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Trails Committee on August 28, 2017, to <br />discuss the project and obtain feedback regarding the public outreach and planning <br />process for the trails master plan. <br />■ The City and consultant set up booths at the Ignite Event on October 17 and the farmers <br />market on October 24 to pass out flyers and talk to residents regarding the master plan. <br />■ The City set up a website for the Trails Master Plan: PleasantonTrails.com in October. <br />The website included a survey regarding the Trails MasterPlan, a place to sign-up for <br />receiving information about the master plan, a sign-up for hikes, an interactive trails map, <br />links to existing City trails maps, and other trail information. <br />■ The first Public Outreach meeting occurred on November 16, 2017. <br />■ The second Public Outreach meeting occurred on January 18, 2018. <br />■ The trails survey closed on January 22, 2018. <br />■ The Bicycle, Pedestrian and Trails Committee were updated regarding the trails master <br />plan at the January 22 and February 26, 2018, meetings. <br />■ The draft Criteria and Evaluation for prioritizing trail projects was presented to the BPTC <br />at the March 26, 2018, meeting. <br />■ The draft Trails Master Plan was submitted to the City on April 11 and posted to the City's <br />trails page PleasantonTrails.com. <br />■ The Trails Master Plan was presented to the Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Trails Committee <br />on April 23. <br />■ The Trails Master Plan was presented to the public at the Arbor Day Picnic on April 28 <br />and at the Earth Day Event at April 29. <br />■ The Trails Master Plan was presented to the Parks and Recreation Commission on May <br />10, and City Council on May 15. <br />■ Based on input from the Parks and Recreation Commission; City Staff created a new <br />youth survey and posted it to the trails website on June 19. Public outreach to Pleasanton <br />youth occurred at Ridge Runner camps on June 21 and June 29. Flyers and the link to <br />the online survey were also submitted to the Pleasanton School District the last week of <br />June. <br />■ Public outreach hikes were held at the Callippe trail on May 16 and the Marilyn Murphy <br />Kane trail on June 20. <br />■ Public outreach hikes were held at the Arroyo del Valle trail on July 18 and the Moller <br />Ranch trails on September 19, 2018. <br />■ The youth outreach effort yielded 147 survey responses; with 44 completed surveys. The <br />youth survey was, posted at the end of June and closed on August 1, 2018. Survey <br />results are included in the final Trails Master Plan. <br />❖ The City presented the youth trail survey results and the final draft of the trails Master Plan to <br />the Youth Commission on October 12, 2018. <br />❖ The final public outreach hike was held on October 17, 2018 at the Moller/Preserve trail. <br />❖ The final draft Trails Master Plan was presented to the BPTC on January 28, 2019, to the <br />Parks and Recreation Commission on February 14, 2019, and to the Planning Commission <br />on February 27, 2019. <br />❖ The Trails Master Plan was updated based on comments received from the. Committee. and <br />Commission meetings and a copy of the Trails Master Plan is uploaded to the website: <br />PleasantonTrails.com. <br />❖ City Council prioritized the Trails Master Plan on March 19, 2019 when Council adopted their <br />two year work plan. <br />Page 6 <br />
