BACKGROUND <br /> The City of Pleasanton maintains over 7,000 street, pathway and parking lot lights <br /> throughout the City. Historically, the City has partnered with the Hacienda Business <br /> Park (HBP) to maintain the 780 lights located within the business park. The City will <br /> continue the partnership and be reimbursed by HBP for the repair of the lights. <br /> The maintenance of the City's street, pathway and parking lot lights include night <br /> checks of arterial roadways, replacement of photo cells or fixtures, ultrasonic pole <br /> testing, pole painting and emergency response to pole knockdowns. <br /> A mandatory bidder's conference was held on January 29, 2019, to discuss scope of <br /> work and answer any questions by interested contractors. Submittals for the bid were <br /> opened on March 1, 2019, with a total of five (5) proposals received from the following <br /> contractors: Econolite Systems, Bear Electrical Solutions, St. Francis Electric, Fluoresco <br /> Services LLC, and Vista Universal.
