Commissioner Wahl: 1) Inclusionary/All Access Playground; 2) Skateboard Park; and <br /> 3) Design Phase I of Bernal Community Farm. <br /> Chairperson Bowers: 1) Design Phase I of Bernal Community Farm; 2) <br /> Inclusionary/All Access Playground; and 3) Skateboard Park. <br /> Ms. Murphy noted that leaving out the Pioneer Cemetery Master Plan could be risky. <br /> Chairperson Bowers agreed and indicated he would be in favor of adding it as a <br /> fourth priority. Commissioner Wahl felt it was a project that would ultimately be done <br /> and Commissioner Fields was concerned that by adding it that it would take priority <br /> over one of the other priorities of the Commission. Commissioner Hekl agreed with <br /> Commissioner Fields and stated she would prefer the Commission remain with their <br /> original three project priorities. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Fields, seconded by Commissioner Deckert, <br /> recommending the following projects from the Parks and Recreation Commission in <br /> enumerated priority for the City Council 2019-2020 Two-Year Work Plan Prioritization <br /> Process: 1) Inclusionary/All Access Playground; 2) Skateboard Park; and 3) Design <br /> Phase I of Bernal Community Farm, and 4)Implementing Phase III of Pioneer <br /> Cemetery Master Plan. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE: <br /> AYES: Commissioners Deckert, Fields, Hekl, Wahl and Chairperson Bowers. <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Commissioner Hottle <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> 5. Review and Comment on the 2018 Library and Recreation Department <br /> Annual Report <br /> Ms. Murphy reviewed with Commissioners the 2018 Library and Recreation <br /> Department Annual Report and advised that staff is planning to continue by providing <br /> quarterly reports for the Commission to review. She asked Commissioners to <br /> provide staff with feedback on the report, specifically its format and content, and the <br /> administration information provided on page 6 pertaining to the 873,440 members of <br /> the community that had been served through Library and Recreation Department <br /> programs. <br /> Ms. Murphy informed Commissioners that over 10,000 new library cards had been <br /> issued during the year, with a number of them being student ID cards that now be <br /> used as library cards. Chairperson Bowers commented on this being a great idea <br /> and Ms. Murphy provided information on how this program had come about advising <br /> that approximately 35 library systems are now using this school ID cards as library <br /> cards.
