Mr. Ingram <br /> commented on a communication plan and updating of the Alameda County Census. <br /> Commissioner Sedlak discussed the need for an outside agency to help provide information <br /> about marketing and Commissioner Wright commented on issues encountered when the last <br /> Needs Assessment was conducted. Commissioner Hayes noted that the Eastern Alameda <br /> County Plan will take place in 2020 and be made available in 2022. <br /> Commissioner Subramaniam commented on information now available to students through <br /> their school ID cards. <br /> Commissioners all agreed that a Communication Plan should be added as a priority for human <br /> services. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Hayes, seconded by Commissioner Sedlak, <br /> recommending City Council include the following three human service priorities in the City <br /> Council 2019-2020 Two-Year Work Plan Prioritization Process: <br /> Priority A <br /> Work to reduce homelessness in Pleasanton — <br /> Develop a policy framework that provides recommendations and implementation strategies to <br /> address homelessness <br /> Priority B <br /> Assessment of Paratransit Services — <br /> Based on recommendations from the study results start implementation phase based on <br /> direction <br /> Priority C <br /> Develop a Human Services Communication Plan — <br /> Work with consultant to develop a plan intended to educate the community on human service <br /> needs in Pleasanton and the Tri-Valley and demonstrate the outcomes and impacts of grant- <br /> funded projects and service providers. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE: <br /> AYES: Commissioners Clare, Hayes, Sedlak, Rubino-Brumm, Wright, and <br /> Chairperson Parikh. <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Commissioners Parekh <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Brumm, seconded by Commissioner Wright, to identify <br /> "Reduce Homelessness in Pleasanton" as the number one human services priority for the City <br /> Council 2019-2020 Two-Year Work Plan Prioritization Process. <br /> Human Services Commission <br /> February 6, 2019 <br /> Page 4 <br />
