• Summer Outdoor Events <br /> • Shakespeare in the Park <br /> • Movies in the Park <br /> • Ignite <br /> Mr. Vogt and Mr. Duncanson noted that goals for the year include: <br /> • New contract for online ticketing services <br /> • Developing partnership with Las Positas College <br /> • A focus group for appealing to millennials <br /> • Family demographics <br /> Commissioner Wheeler thanked Mr. Vogt and Mr. Duncanson for a great report. She asked <br /> that one of the goals include something about Literary Arts and including a sign outside the <br /> Harrington Gallery so the public is aware of when it is open, Mr. Duncanson advised that signs <br /> are being placed outside when the gallery is open. <br /> Commissioner Morales thanked staff for all the great programs available for youth. <br /> Commissioner Nene agreed with Commissioner Wheeler's comments about the art gallery and <br /> suggested a large sign be put near the Farmer's Market that would attract people to the <br /> gallery. She also suggested more programs be offered for seniors. Mr. Duncan advised that <br /> many programs are available for seniors at the Senior Center. <br /> Commissioner Song thanked staff for the great programs and stated that she felt Teen Improv <br /> is amazing. <br /> Commissioner Wedge-Bonde also stated she has enjoyed many of the shows offered and <br /> agreed that signage would be helpful to inform people about the art gallery. She suggested <br /> using signs similar to those used by realtors who are advertising an Open House. Mr. <br /> Duncanson discussed requirements of the municipal code and Ms. Whitney stated that staff <br /> would check on this. Commissioner Jellison commented on signs allowed for Community of <br /> Character. <br /> Commissioner Song suggested using social media as a means of advertising. Ms. Whitney <br /> advised that the City is working on a marketing plan and more information may be added. <br /> Commissioner Casey seconded the comment made by Commissioner Wheeler for adding <br /> something about Literary Arts and Commissioner Nene questioned whether this was <br /> something that could be tied-in with the Library programs.
