The Assistant Fire Marshal, Emergency Preparedness Manager and Management Analysts <br /> shall receive 56 hours of administrative leave per year. The Fire Chief shall annually <br /> recommend up to an additional twenty-four (24) hours per individual, and the City Manager <br /> may approve the amounts. <br /> Administrative leave hours not used by the last payroll period of the calendar year will be <br /> cashed out. <br /> Sick Leave Accrual <br /> Each 40 hour management employee shall earn sick leave at the rate of eight hours for each <br /> month of service to a maximum accumulation of 2,080 hours of sick leave. Hours <br /> accumulated in excess of 2,080 are applied toward additional years of service under the <br /> current CaIPERS "Credit for Unused Sick Leave", Government Code, Section 20965. Hours <br /> accumulated in excess of 2,080 will not be credited as paid time off until such time as the <br /> accumulated sick leave balance falls under the 2,080 hour threshold. <br /> Each 56 hour management employee shall earn sick leave at a rate of 11.2 hours for each <br /> month of service to a maximum accumulation of 2.912 hours of sick leave. Hours <br /> accumulated in excess of 2,912 will be used only to apply to additional years of service under <br /> the current CaIPERS "Credit for Unused Sick Leave", government Code, Section 20965. <br /> Hours accumulated in excess of 2,912 will not be credited as paid time off until such time as <br /> the accumulated sick leave balance falls under the 2,912 hour threshold. <br /> Page 37 of 44 <br />
