Vacation <br /> Eligible Fire management personnel assigned to a shift work schedule shall accrue vacation <br /> with pay in accordance with the following schedule: <br /> Years of Continuous Service Monthly Accrual Rate <br /> First through fourth year 12 hours <br /> Fifth through eleventh 16 hours <br /> Twelve through fourteenth 20 hours <br /> Fifteenth through sixteenth 22 hours <br /> Seventeenth year or more 24 hours <br /> Eligible Fire management personnel assigned a 40 hour workweek shall accrue vacation with <br /> pay in accordance with the following schedule: <br /> Years of Continuous Service Monthly Accrual Rate <br /> First through fourth year 8.57 hours <br /> Fifth through eleventh 11.43 hours <br /> Twelve through fourteenth 14.29 hours <br /> Fifteenth through sixteenth 15.71 hours <br /> Seventeenth year or more 17.41 hours <br /> Administrative Leave <br /> In recognition that management employees are required to work hours beyond their regular <br /> hours of work to fulfill their managerial responsibilities, each employee in the classification of <br /> Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief, and Battalion Chief will receive 56 hours of administrative leave <br /> per year and may be credited up to a total of 80 hours of administrative time per year as <br /> recommended by the Fire Chief and approved by the City Manager. Fire Managers in the <br /> classification of Fire Chief, Deputy Chief and Battalion Chief appointed prior to October 1 , <br /> 2010 shall continue to receive 80 hours annually.5 <br /> The decrease in Administrative Leave from the 2009-2010 Management Comp Plan is in conjunction with the Battalion Chief Coverage <br /> Stipend approved temporarily by the City Manager on December 20, 2010 and extended on January 21, 2011 until further notice. <br /> Page 36 of 44 <br />
