Fire safety management employees hired on or after December 22, 2012 shall <br /> be provided the PERS 3% @ 55 plan with the highest three year average <br /> compensation, 1959 Survivor Benefit, credit for unused sick leave benefit, and <br /> military buyback options. <br /> Fire safety management employees hired on or after January 1, 2013 and <br /> considered "new members" by CaIPERS shall be provided the CaIPERS plan <br /> dictated by PEPRA. <br /> C. Police safety management employees hired on or before July 6, 2012 shall be <br /> provided the CaIPERS 3% @ 50 plan to include the following options: 1959 <br /> Survivor Benefit, credit for unused sick leave benefit, highest one year <br /> compensation, and military buyback options. <br /> Police safety management employees hired on or after July 7, 2012 shall be <br /> provided the CaIPERS 3% @ 55 plan with the highest three year average <br /> compensation, 1959 Survivor Benefit, credit for unused sick leave benefit, and <br /> military buyback options. <br /> Police safety management employees hired on or after January 1 , 2013 and <br /> considered "new members" by CaIPERS shall be provided the CaIPERS plan <br /> dictated by PEPRA. <br /> 7.3 Payment - Employee's Contribution <br /> A. Current Employees <br /> The City shall discontinue payment of the employee's contribution to CaIPERS <br /> Employer Paid Member Contribution ("EPMC"). Employees will pay the 8% or <br /> 9% employee's contribution to CaIPERS. <br /> B. New Employees <br /> New employees hired after January 1 , 2013 and considered "new members" by <br /> CaIPERS shall pay the member contribution in accordance with PEPRA. <br /> Page 24 of 44 <br />
