• Continue to build relationships with regional governments by strengthening <br /> communication and partnering with the cities of Livermore and Dublin <br /> • Diversify Pleasanton Human Services Commission Membership by encouraging <br /> people of diverse backgrounds to become involved with the City. <br /> Since adopting the City of Pleasanton Human Services Needs Assessment Strategic <br /> Plan 2014-2016, the Commission has continued to operate and advocate for services <br /> and partnerships based on the goals and objectives set forth in this document. <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> In September of 2017, the Commission began a staff-led process to update the City of <br /> Pleasanton Human Services Needs Assessment Strategic Plan 2014-2016. The new <br /> information for the strategic plan update (Attachment 1) was primarily gathered from five <br /> public workshops held November 2017 through January 2018. Through these <br /> workshops, the commission worked with subject matter experts, service providers and <br /> the public to update the strategic plan through 2022. <br /> The Commission focused their efforts on updating the mission, vision, values, critical <br /> system challenges, critical human service needs, strategic actions, organizational <br /> priorities and organizational actions. Attachment 1, Appendix A is a summary of gaps <br /> and priorities identified during the five public workshops. The Commission carefully <br /> selected five Tri-Valley priority areas to address current gap areas: Homelessness, <br /> Senior Citizen Services, Behavioral Health, Transportation Services and Access, <br /> Domestic Violence and Child Abuse. <br /> The following pages show key updates to the draft 2018-2022 strategic plan. The tables <br /> compare the approved 2014-2016 plan language in the left column and the revised, <br /> draft 2018-2022 plan language in the right column: <br /> 2014-2016 Mission 2018-2022 Mission <br /> The mission of the Human Services Needs To support high quality human services so <br /> Assessment Strategic Plan is to support Pleasanton residents can meet their basic <br /> the provisions of highest quality human human needs with dignity. <br /> services so that all residents can meet <br /> their basic life needs.
