A-Paramedics wishing to leave who seek to withdraw from the <br /> Pparamedic program upon expiration of their after five (5)years of Pparamedic service in the <br /> program shall advise the Fire Chief of their desire to do so six(6) months in advance. <br /> B. The Fire Department shall maintain a sufficient minimum number of ene <br /> -• - _• - '• • • - .. - paramedics to satisfy the minimum paramedic staffing <br /> requirement and to meet operational needs. A verified ability to staff the minimum need <br /> must exist before any employee is allowed to leave the paramedic program. <br /> C. In the event that there are multiple requests for withdrawal from the paramedic program, <br /> priority shall be based on dDepartment seniority,regardless of rank. <br /> D. Paramedics wishing to leave the program must either maintain their paramedic license or <br /> obtain an Alameda County EMT certification prior to withdrawal and maintain this <br /> certification as a condition of employment. <br /> E.
