• Forkful —Successfully planned year number 2 of this wonderful new culinary event—as a way to highlight our growing and diverse restaurant scene. • This year's committee had a lot of work to do as we retired 1st Wednesdays and focused on growing and fine tuning all of our remaining events as well as looked towards the future. We are excited with the continual growth of our 5 Crawl & Stroll events. They are loved by our community and businesses alike and provide much needed revenues for our organization. • We updated our brochure series—Dining Guide, Shopping Guide, Arts & Entertainment and Salons & Spas.The new brochures include updated photos of downtown. • Sent our monthly e-newsletter for members and a monthly Member to Member Promotions e- newsletter. • Created opportunities for business networking with three membership mixers in February, June (partnering with the Chamber of Commerce) and November. • Held the PDA Installation Mixer at the Cellar Door; highlights included installation of the 2018 Board of Directors by Mayor Thorne, recognition of the departing directors and recognition of the 2017 NEAT award recipients. • Held the PDA's Annual Meeting (free for all members to attend) where the PDA Board provided a full review of 2017 for all PDA members in attendance. • Continued a proactive approach toward downtown vacancies by maintaining an inventory of potential tenants, assisting property owners in listing available properties and working with the city's Economic Development Director. Met with property owners,tenants, potential tenants and commercial agents. • Continued to work with the City to support the efforts underway as a result of the Parking Study and Implementation Plan and continue to address the ongoing need for parking stock management and growth throughout our downtown. • Sent over 65 press releases that were picked up by numerous media outlets throughout the Bay Area. We experienced very high media pick up which included numerous articles and live on- camera interviews by ABC 7, Fox News, CBS 5 and TV30. • Continued to increase strategic alliances and collaborate with community Partners: Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce, Livermore Downtown Association, Firehouse Arts Center, Pleasanton Cultural Arts Foundation, Valley Humane Society,the Museum, the Library, Pleasanton Heritage Association, Alameda County Fairgrounds, Livermore Valley Winegrowers Association, Tri-Valley Conservancy and Visit Tri-Valley. • We proudly hosted the California Main Street Alliance's Annual Conference in Downtown in February. We were thrilled to welcome over 200 people to the conference and introduce them to our Downtown. Sessions were held at the Firehouse Art Center and Museum on Main with special networking opportunities taking place at Cellar Door, Neighborhood Bar and Grill, Beer Baron and Sabio on Main. • Our Executive Director continues to serve as a member of the California Main Street Alliance Board of Directors and was elected as Vice President after completing a 3-year term as President of the Board. • Received commendation for program achievements and recognized as both a California and National 2018 Main Street Community. • Received recognition for the downtown district as "2018 Best of..." awards by the Pleasanton Weekly. • Actively participated in the ongoing update of the Downtown Specific Plan with both our Executive Director, Laura Olson, and Board of Directors member, Dirk Christensen, serving on the Task Force. • Maintained status as a Community of Character Organization. 3
