Upon receipt of a written application for an extension which must include the <br /> reasons or bases for the requested extension, plus payment of fee, the parcel map shall <br /> be automatically extended for sixty (60) days, or until the application is approved, <br /> conditionally approved, or denied, whichever occurs first. <br /> 6. The extensions may be approved administratively by the director of <br /> community development. The director may refer any application for an extension to the <br /> review board or to the planning commission for decision. <br /> 19.16.090 Appeal. In the event the subdivider, or a tenant in the case of a proposed <br /> conversion to condominiums of the subject property, is dissatisfied with any <br /> determination of the director, the review board or its designee, as to the determination <br /> to approve or deny an application, modification, or extension, such decision may be <br /> appealed to the planning commission in accordance with the procedures set forth in <br /> Chapter 18.144 (Appeals), and subject to payment of fee. <br /> 19.20.130 Expiration. Tentative map approval shall expire twenty-four (24) months <br /> after approval or conditional approval of the tentative map, or such longer time as <br /> mandated by the Subdivision Map Act (see Government Code Section 66452.6, et <br /> seq.). <br /> 19.20.140 Time extension. Upon written application of the subdivider made prior to <br /> the expiration of the tentative map, the subdivider may apply for an extension. <br /> 1. The first application may be for an extension of up to twenty-four (24) months. <br /> 2. Up to four (4) subsequent applications may be made for extensions of twelve <br /> (12) months each. <br /> 3. A cumulative total of six (6) years of extensions may be granted as provided <br /> in Subsections 1 and 2, above. <br /> 4. Extensions granted pursuant to this section similarly extend any city <br /> legislative, administrative or other approval that pertains to a development project <br /> included in the tentative map if such approval has not expired when a complete <br /> application for extension was submitted. <br /> Application for an extension shall be made to the planning commission prior to the <br /> expiration of tentative map approval, or any extension thereof, and shall be <br /> accompanied with a fee as set forth in the resolution establishing fees and charges, <br /> codified in the appendix to Title 3 of this code. The application must include the reasons <br /> or bases for the requested extension.
