Sub-Area 16 • Evaluate the need and benefit for including fencing along the trail. • Evaluate fire safety vehicle and equipment access to the Orchard and buffer areas. • Reevaluate the types of trees and planting plan for the buffer area adjacent to rear yards on Laguna Creek Lane to address residents' desired view preferences. SUMMARY OF COMMENTS BY INDIVIDUAL COMMISSIONERS Commissioner Wahl • Consider various sized raised garden plots, including smaller sized raised garden plots, in the Garden Patch. In general, the current sized raised garden plots are oversized and most user can get by with raised garden plots half the size. • Take steps to assure that the raised garden plots in the Garden Patch accommodate the disabled and seniors who may have problems with raised garden plots that are too close to the ground. She encourages the services of an accessibility consultant regarding this matter. • Seek cooperation with the local Boy Scouts to assist with bed construction and maintenance. • Consider a gate at the entrance of the parking lots so that the entire park can be secure during off hours. Commissioner Fields • Recommends that Phase One include construction of both Sub-Area 7 parking lots and as much infrastructure as possible and practical. • Evaluate the need for fencing Sub-Area 16 along the trail. • Conduct a fire safety evaluation plan for Sub-Area 16 to assure adequate vehicle and equipment access. • Continue to evaluate the availability of various types of water, including water from the Valley Avenue run-off pond.
