In general, would prefer more garden plots, which <br /> could be accommodate by reducing the size the current garden plots. <br /> Commissioner Hottle <br /> • Explore the use of solar panels for the Learning Center and other locations as practical. <br /> • Explore the use of gray water as practical. <br /> • Evaluate the current City policies regarding the Garden Patch program to assure that they <br /> allow for turn over to meet needs and to assure that those who reserve a plot are using it. <br /> Manage the wait list. <br /> • Attempt to have levels of design consistency between the raised garden plots in the Garden <br /> Patch area and any raised garden plots in the Demonstration Gardens. <br /> • Reference the list of staff approved pesticides as part of the overall Community Farm <br /> guidelines and policies. <br /> • Scale Sub-Area 16 buffer zone and regulate tree size adjacent to read yards on Laguna Creek <br /> Lane. <br /> Commissioner Streng <br /> Assure the property residents would not prefer lower that would not block view of the <br /> orchards. <br /> Comments from Master Gardeners <br /> • The Demonstration Gardens change overtime to meet needs so encourages the City's <br /> understanding regarding being flexible. <br /> • They promote sustainable and organic gardening and encourage that practice throughout <br /> the Community Farm. <br /> • Address location of trail to assure public access. <br /> • Crop area will need to be fenced. <br />
