Bicycle and Pedestrian Transportation/Traffic Project <br /> Master Plan High Priority <br /> Corridor <br /> The Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan, created in January 2010 was updated and <br /> adopted by City Council in June 2017. The update created an "All users and abilities" <br /> approach to facility design and provided a corridor construction priority. West Las <br /> Positas Boulevard was identified as the highest priority corridor. <br /> • Status Under Review <br /> • Next Steps/Details: Staff is preparing a request for proposal to select a <br /> consultant to design the West Las Positas Improvements. <br /> A consultant selection is anticipated for March 2018 with <br /> a 3-6 month design process. <br /> 52. Traffic Model Update I Transportation/Traffic Project <br /> The City of Pleasanton Traffic Model was created in 2001 and has been updated every <br /> few years to account for changing traffic patterns and land uses. The last update to the <br /> Traffic Model was in 2010. The City circulated a request for proposals to update the <br /> model in June 2015. The City awarded the contract for update of the model to Fehr and <br /> Peers in October 2015. <br /> The update to the traffic model is complete and staff is using the model to identify future <br /> transportation improvements. These transportation improvements will be presented to <br /> City Council in a new Transportation Baseline Report. <br /> • Status Under Review <br /> • Next Steps/Details: Complete analysis of future transportation improvement <br /> needs and summarize in Transportation Baseline Report to <br /> be presented to City Council in May 2018. <br /> 53. Foothill Road Bicycle Transportation/Traffic Project <br /> Corridor Plan <br /> City Council at its Sept. 13, 2016 meeting awarded the Foothill Road Corridor Plan <br /> project to Fehr and Peers. This plan will provide a preliminary design, cost estimates and <br /> a recommended phasing plan for both northbound and southbound bike lanes on Foothill <br /> Road. The draft plan has been completed and will be brought to the Pedestrian Bicycle <br /> and Trails Committee for review and comment in March 2018. <br /> • Status Under Review <br /> • Next Steps/Details: Present the draft Foothill Road Bicycle Corridor Plan to <br /> the Pedestrian Bicycle and Trails Committee in March <br /> 2018. <br />
