Is imbued with traditional or legendary lore. <br /> <br /> §2-9.15 Procedure. Any application for an H-O District here- <br /> under shall first be referred to the Historical Landmark <br /> Committee for a report and recommendation if one has not <br /> already been made. In addit ion, the Committee may and, if <br /> requested by the City Council shall, initiate studies of <br /> structures or sites within the City for possible inclusion <br /> <br />[~2-9.16 Standards. In classifying any historical landmark <br /> <br /> or monument in an H-O District the Planning Commission and <br /> Council shall rely upon the following standards in addition <br /> to those provided in ~2-9.14: <br /> <br /> 1. The landmark designated shall have historical, <br /> aesthetic or special character or interest for the <br /> general public and not be limited in interest to a <br /> special group of persons. <br /> <br /> 2 The designation of such landmark shall not require <br /> expenditures by the City of Pleasanton of any amount <br /> of money not commensurate with the value of the <br /> object to b e preserved. <br /> <br /> 3. The designation of such landmark shall not infringe <br /> upon the rights of a private owner hereof to make <br /> any and all reasonable uses of such landmark which <br /> are not in conflict with the purposes of this Article. <br /> <br /> ~2-9.17 Permit Required. A historical landmark within an <br /> <br /> H-O District shall not be altered, modified, relocated or <br /> demolished without a permit from the Planning Commission. <br /> <br /> <br />
