~2-9.i8 Procedure for Permit. An application under §2-9.17 <br /> shall be made in writing and spell out in detail the <br /> proposed alteration. Plans and drawings submitted pur- <br /> suant to Article 19 of this Chapter may be used in total <br /> or partial satisfaction of this requirement. <br /> <br />§2-9.19 Public Hearing. The Planning Commission shall hold <br /> a public hearing on any application under §2-9.18, said <br /> hearing to be scheduled consistent with the provisions of <br /> <br />~2-9-20 Inducements. The Planning Commission may grant to <br /> an applicant variances consistent with the provisions of <br /> Article 26 of this Chapter and may, upon the recommendation <br /> of the Building Official, waive or modify provisions of the <br /> building, electrical, plumbing or heating and ventilating <br /> codes if to do so will not be inconsistent with the pub lic <br /> health, safety and general wet fare of the residents of the <br /> City of Pleasanton and will serve to preserve and protect <br /> a historical landmark hereunder. <br /> <br />§2-9.21 Demolition. If an application under §2-9.18 is for <br /> <br /> demolition of a historical landmark hereunder and if ap-, <br /> plication of the provisions of ~2-9.20 is not possible or <br /> is to no avail, the Planning Commission may suspend, for <br /> up to 60 days, the granting of permits requisite to demoli- <br /> tion in order to allow consideration by the City of acquisi- <br /> tion by City or any other public or private entity of the <br /> landmark for the purpose of preservation thereof. <br /> <br />~2-9.22 Action on Application. Within 30 days of the date <br /> <br /> the application was submitted the Planning Commission shall <br /> approve, conditionally approve, disapprove or request re- <br /> vision of the plans or drawings.
