IV. PLAN AMENDMENTS
Prior to the issuance of a building permit, the plans shall be revised such that the
sidewalk along Stoneridge Drive shall be setback a minimum of six feet from
Stoneridge Drive.
a. Prior to the issuance of a building permit, the plans shall be revised such that
all sidewalks adjacent to parking spaces are a minimum of 7' feet in width to
ensure an adequate overhang area for parked vehicles.
b. For the public restroom east of the Ice Center, the restroom doors shall face
the park (and not the parking lot). The women's restroom and the men's
restroom shall have more than one stall, unless otherwise determined by the
Director of Parks and Community Services.
2. Landscaping and Tree Preservation.
a. Prior to the issuance of a building permit, the Project Developer shall revise
the plans to show a variety of ground cover and shrub clusters on both sides
of the sidewalk along Stoneridge Drive. Groundcover shall be kept to a
minimum, as groundcover typically requires more water than shrubs. Turf
shall not be used. The shrubs and groundcover shall include some or all of
the following species:
Shrubs
• Acacia redolens (plant tolerates some aridity)
• Ceanothus "Yankee Point" (plant tolerates some aridity)
• Shrub blocks of crape myrtle (plant tolerates some aridity)
Ground Cover
• Hemerocallis "Stella d'oro"—Dwarf yellow Daylily (plant tolerates
some aridity; requires regular water during blooming season)
• Erigeron karvinskianus—Santa Barbara Daisy (plant tolerates some
aridity)
• Cottoneaster "Lowfast" (plant tolerates some aridity)
• Rosmarinus officinalis (plant tolerates some aridity)
A few additional decorative species may be used, if the species are known
to tolerate some aridity.
b. The northern entrance median shall contain decorative flowering shrubs
which are known to tolerate some aridity.
c. Replace the Chitalpa tashkentensis and fraxinus angustifolia oxycarpa
species with tree species with less maintenance demand.
11
