For each mobile home as defined herein, the sum <br />of $420 00. - <br /> <br />For each commercial or industrial building as <br />defined herein or other miscellaneous unclassified <br />uses a sum "C" established by the following <br />formula: <br /> <br /> C = V x 1/3 <br /> 102,200 <br /> (1 + BOD + ss) x $735.00 <br /> 250 300 <br /> <br />where: V = Estimated total yearly volume of <br /> discharge from the building, in gallons; <br /> BOD = Estimated average BOD of the waste <br /> discharged; <br /> ss = Estimated average suspended solids of <br /> waste discharged· <br />In the event that any of the factors V, BOD or ss <br />are found to have been estimated too low or too <br />high such that the collected fee was 10% or more <br />lower or higher than the correct fee; or if the <br />customer's discharge has been increased in volume <br />or strength, the City shall bill or reimburse the <br />customer~ for the difference in connection fees <br />Payment of any such additional fees shall be a <br />condition of continued service by the City. No <br />reimbursement shall be due if the customer has <br />reduced the volume or strength of discharge. <br /> <br />Any change in use or addition requiring greater <br />capacity in the sewerage system will require the <br />payment of additional fees at the rates estab- <br />lished by this article as a condition of continued <br />service. <br /> <br />Upon application and good cause shown, the City <br />Council may in its sole discretion waive any of <br />the charges herein provided for. <br /> <br />All measurements, tests and analysis of the <br />characteristics of water and wastes to which <br />reference is made in this chapter shall be deter- <br />mined in accordance with the llth Edition, or <br />subsequent editions, of the "Standard Methods for <br />the Examination of Water and Sewage" published <br />jointly by the American Public Health Association <br />and Federation of Sewage Works Association, and <br />shall be determined on samples from the inspection <br />facility. In the event that no special facility <br />has been required, the point of inspection shall be <br />considered to be the downstream manhole in the <br />public sewer nearest to the point by which the <br />building sewer is connected to the public sewer. <br /> <br />For each dwelling unit tributary to the sewage <br />treatment plant owned and operated by the City of <br />Pleasanton there shall be imposed a surcharge in <br />order to finance acquisition of additional sprink- <br />ler facilities and irrigation fields to accommo- <br />date the sewage burden generated by additional <br />connections consistent with and in addition to the <br />connection charges provided for in (a) hereof: <br /> <br /> <br />
