Engineering <br />3. Accepted public improvements performed by Granite Rock Company for the Valley Avenue and <br />Hopyard Road Pavement Rehabilitation (OBAG Cycle 1) project, CIP No. 15526; authorized the <br />City Clerk to file notice of completion and the return of the project balance of $150,678 to the <br />Streets General Fund <br />Library <br />4. Approved and authorized the City Manager to execute a modified Memorandum of Understanding <br />between the City of Pleasanton and the Pleasanton Unified School District Related to Library <br />Cards <br />5. Intoduced and waived first reading Ordinance No. 2170 amending Pleasanton Municipal Code <br />2.34.080 to change the Library Commission meeting date to first Thursday of each month <br />beginning in February 2018 <br />Operations Services <br />6. Adopted and waived full reading of Resolution No. 17-967 amending Resolution No. 15-796 and <br />Resolution No. 92-100 (Master Fee Schedule) to reduce sewer rates for Ruby Hill project area <br />customers by ten percent (10%) for the remaining duration of the agreement for wastewater and <br />disposal services with the City of Livermore, and approved and authorized the City Manager to <br />execute the First Amendment to agreement for Wastewater and Disposal Services with the City of <br />Livermore <br />MOTION: It was m/s Brown/Olson by to approve the consent calendar as submitted and as noted. <br />Motion passed by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Councilmembers Brown, Olson, Pentin, Mayor Thorne <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: Councilmember Narum <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br />7. Oaths of Office to Incoming Commission and Committee members <br />Mayor Thorne reported appointments to the Bicycle, Pedestrian and Trails Committee include <br />David Fish and Sharon Piekarski. Appointments to the Civic Arts Commission include Stephanie <br />Pellegrino and Isabelle Morales. Appointments to the Housing Commission include Zarina <br />Kizilolgu. Appointments to the Human Services Commission include Kavya Subramaniam. <br />Appointments to the Parks and Recreation Commission include Keshav Patel and appointments <br />to the Planning Commission include Greg O'Connor. <br />City Clerk Karen Diaz administered the Oath of Office. <br />8. Presentation of proclamation declaring October as National Bullying Prevention Month and <br />October 25, 2017 as Unity Day <br />Councilmember Brown invited Youth Commissioner Kate Inman to the podium and presented her <br />with a proclamation declaring October as National Bullying Prevention Month and October 25, <br />2017 as Unity Day.
