4-7.55 Abatement: Enforcement Official. If the order of the <br /> Hearing Board is not complied with within the time <br /> therein specified or within the time to which compliance <br /> is for good cause extended the Enforcement Official <br /> shall proceed to effect compliance therewith for the <br /> account of the owner of the premises or land. <br /> <br />4-7.56 Cost of Abatement:' AccOunting. The Enforcement Official <br /> shall keep an itemized account of the costs of abatement <br /> a copy of which shall be filed with the Hearing Board. <br /> Upon completion of abatement the owner and person or <br /> persons in possession or control of the property <br /> shall be given notice of the cost thereof. <br /> <br />4-7.57 Cost of Abatement Lien Against Property. The cost <br /> <br /> of abatement of a public nuisance herein shall constitute <br /> a special assessment against the property upon which <br /> said nuisance is situated and shall be a lien upon and <br /> against said property until paid. Notice of the special <br /> assessment and lien may be recorded by the Enforcement <br /> Official in the office of the County Recorder. <br /> <br /> Article 4 <br /> Collection of Assessment <br /> <br />4-7.58 Payment of Assessment. It shall be lawful for any <br /> <br /> person to pay the amount of such special assessment on or <br /> before the 15th day of July following its imposition. If <br /> said assessment is not paid on or before said date the <br /> total amount thereof shall be entered on the next fiscal <br /> <br /> year tax roll as a lien against the property of the owner <br /> upon which said nuisance was abated and shall be collecte~ <br /> with other City taxes. <br /> <br />4-7.59 Other Available Procedures. The provisions of this <br /> chapter are intended to supplement rather than supplant <br /> other remedies available under State law or this code. <br /> <br /> <br />
