5. Where the underside of roof sheathing is twenty four (24') feet or more to the finished <br />floor, a sprinkler design of .60 gallons per minute calculated over the hydraulically most remote <br />3,000 square feet, with a minimum sprinkler spacing of eight by eight feet (8' X 8'). A 500 <br />gallon per minute allowance for hose streams shall also be provided. <br /> <br />20.24.130 UFC Section 1003.1.2.2 added--Installation of Fire Sprinkler Systems. <br /> <br />Section 1003.1.2.2 is added to the Uniform Fire Code to read: <br /> <br />Section 1003.1.2.2 <br /> <br />A minimum design area of 3,000 square feet shall be required for all industrial/commercial sprinkler <br />systems. Where subsequent occupancy requires a sprinkler system of greater design density or area of <br />application capability, it shall be the responsibility of the owner and/or occupant to retrofit the sprinkler <br />system to the required code or standard in order to obtain clearance for the new occupancy or use. <br /> <br />20.24.140 UFC Section 1003.1.2.3 added--Installation of Fire Sprinkler Systems. <br /> <br />Section 1003.1.2.3 is added to the Uniform Fire Code to read: <br /> <br />Section 1003.1.2.3 <br /> <br />Fire sprinkler protection shall be provided in all combustible and non-combustible concealed spaces. <br /> <br />20.24.150 UFC Section 1007.2.1.3 amended--Fire Alarm Company Permit and <br />Qualifications. <br /> <br /> UFC Section 1007.2.1.3 is added to the Uniform Fire Code to read: <br /> <br />Section 1007.2.1.3 <br /> <br />1. No person(s) may install or service any fire alarm system or automatic fire extinguishing <br />system unless they have received a permit to conduct such activity under the provisions of this <br />section. <br /> <br />2. To receive a permit, each person(s) must submit an application and permit fee to the <br />Livermore Pleasanton Fire Department. The permit shall be issued when the Department <br />determines that: <br /> <br />(a) The applicant has proper equipment and is sufficiently qualified to perform installation and <br />servicing of fire alarm systems. <br /> <br /> 5o <br /> <br /> <br />
