(b) The applicant meets the nationally recognized standards established by the National Fire <br />Protection Association in Code Sections 71 and 72 A-2, and the State Fire Marshal, for the <br />installation and maintenance of control station supervisory services. The Livermore Pleasanton <br />Fire Department may grant exemptions from such requirements where it determines that an <br />exemption is necessary to protect public health, safety, and welfare. <br /> <br />3. Every permit issued in accordance with these provisions shall be valid for a period of one <br />(1) year from the date of issuance. <br /> <br />4. Applications for renewal of a permit shall be filed in the same manner as for an original <br />application for permit. Each application shall be accompanied by a renewal fee as specified by <br />resolution adopted by City Council. <br /> <br />5. The Chief shall have the authority to suspend or revoke a permit where there is evidence <br />of incompetence, willful, or negligent fraud or failure to perform properly and effectively the <br />duties assumed by the person issued the permit. <br /> <br />20.24.160 UFC Section 1007.3.3.6 amended--Fire Alarm System Monitoring <br /> UFC Section 1007.3.3.6.3 is amended to the Uniform Fire Code to read: <br /> <br />1. Alarm System Requirements. All fire alarm or automatic fire extinguishing systems <br />installed in accordance with this Article shall meet the following requirements: <br /> <br /> (a) All fire sprinkler system(s) alarm device, which may include water flow and valve tamper, <br /> shall be connected an Underwriters Laboratory Listed Central Station approved by the <br /> Livermore Pleasanton Fire Department. <br /> <br /> (b) Sprinkler system design shall incorporate zone annunciation, including tenant/occupancy <br /> identification, as specified by the Livermore Pleasanton Fire Department. <br /> <br />(c) Water flow fire alarm signals shall be transmitted over dedicated, supervised lease line and/or digital <br />communications based on type(s) of occupancy(a) for the following occupancies and/or buildings: <br /> <br /> (1.) All Group A occupancies <br /> <br />EXCEPTIONS: <br /> <br />[a.] Group A, Division 2 <br />[b.] Group A, Division 2.1 <br />[c.] Group A, Division 3 <br />[d.] Group A, Division 4 <br /> <br />(2.) All Group B occupancies <br /> <br /> 51 <br /> <br /> <br />
