20.08.068 Section 1804.11 added - Field Report <br /> <br />Section 1804.11 of the California Building Standards Code 1998 Edition, (24 C.C.R.), and <br />including by reference the Uniform Building code, 1997 Edition, Parts 1, 2 and 3 is added to read <br />as follows: <br /> <br />1804.11 Field Report. Prior to requesting a foundation inspection from the city, the Geotechnical <br />Engineer or Civil Engineer who prepared the soil investigation shall provide a field report (in <br />writing) which shall state the following: <br /> <br />1. The building pad was prepared and compacted in accordance with the soil report and <br />specification. <br />2. The foundation and/or pier excavation, depth, backfill materials, and drainage (if <br />applicable), substantially conforms with the soil report and approved plans. <br /> <br />(20.08.070, no change) <br /> <br />20.08.072 Section 1804.12 added - Final Report <br /> <br />Section 1804.12 of the Califomia Building Standards Code 1998 Edition, (24 C.C.R.), and <br />including by reference the Uniform Building code, 1997 Edition, Parts 1, 2 and 3 is added to read <br />as follows: <br />1804.12 Final Report. Prior to final inspection for any building or structure, the Geotechnical <br />Engineer or Civil Engineer who prepared the soil investigation shall issue a final report stating <br />the completed pad, foundation, finish grading, drainage, and associated site work substantially <br />conforms to the approved plans, specifications, and investigation. <br /> <br />20.08.074 Section 2204 amended - Design Methods <br /> <br />Section 2204 of the California Building Standards Code 1998 Edition, (24 C.C.R.), and including <br />by reference the Uniform Building code, 1997 Edition, Parts 1, 2 and 3 is amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />2204. Design Methods. Design shall be by one of the following methods: <br /> <br />2204.1 Load and Resistance Factor Design. Steel design based on load and resistance factor <br />design methods shall resist the factored load combinations of Section 1612.2 in accordance <br />with the applicable requirements of Section 2205. <br /> <br />2204.2 Allowable Stress Design. Steel design based on allowable stress design methods shall <br />resist the factored load combinations of Section 1612.3 in accordance with the applicable <br />requirements of Section 2205. <br /> <br />(20.08.080, no change)." <br /> 40 <br /> <br /> <br />
