Commissioner Ritter moved to: (1) make the required Conditional Use Permit <br />findings for that part of Case P14 -0907, the Conditional Use Permit modification <br />relating to the Heritage School, as listed in the staff report, and to approve that <br />part of the Conditional Use Permit modification relating to the Heritage School, <br />subject to the Conditions of Approval listed in Exhibit A of the staff report, with <br />the addition of a new condition listed in the staff memo dated November 12, 2014, <br />requiring all facility vehicles to be parked /stored within the existing parking <br />spaces at the rear of the shopping center; (2) determine that the Conditional Use <br />Permit findings for that part of Case P14 -0907, the Conditional Use Permit <br />modification relating to the outdoor playground area, cannot be made as <br />described in the staff report and to deny that part of the Conditional Use Permit <br />modification relating to the outdoor playground area; and (3) deny <br />Case P14 -1173, the Design Review application for the proposed outdoor <br />playground area. <br />Commissioner Allen seconded the motion. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE: <br />AYES: Commissioners Allen, Balch, O'Connor, Piper, and Ritter <br />NOES: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />RECUSED: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />Resolution No. PC 2014 -55 approving only that component of Case P14 -0970, the <br />Conditional Use Permit modification, relating to the Heritage School, and denying that <br />component of Case P14 -0970 relating to the outdoor playground area; and Resolution <br />No. PC- 2014 -56 denying Case P14 -1173, the Design Review for the outdoor <br />playground area, were entered and adopted as motioned. <br />7. MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />Michael and Darlene Miller and the Masonic Lodge <br />Chair O'Connor inquired if any of the Commissioners wished to discuss the Millers' <br />request tonight. He further inquired how many of the Commissioners had met with the <br />Millers. <br />Commissioner Piper stated that she talked to the Millers. <br />Commissioner Ritter indicated that he talked to Mrs. Miller. <br />Commissioner Allen stated she was out of town. <br />Julie Harryman advised that because this item was not agendized, the Commission's <br />discussion should be limited to whether or not they wish to have it agendized. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES, November 12, 2014 Page 30 of 35 <br />
