Work Plan—Pleasanton Trails Master Plan June 20,2017 <br /> for,attend,and document one major public workshop with interactive exercises,and up to two <br /> events,focus group or issue meetings(such as property owners, business interests, user <br /> groups)during this task. <br /> 3.8. PRC Meeting: Draft Trail Master Plan.The draft Trails Master Plan will be presented to the <br /> Parks and Recreation Commission (PRC).TrailPeople will prepare a summary,graphic maps and <br /> tables,a Powerpoint presentation. <br /> 3.9. Fehr&Peers Meeting Attendance—any of the meetings may benefit from Fehr&Peers <br /> expertise in traffic and transportation. An allowance for attending up to 2 meetings is <br /> provided,which could occur during any task as desired. <br /> Deliverables(administrative draft,and public versions of preliminary Draft Trail Master Plan, <br /> including): <br /> • Goals,objectives and policies <br /> • Alternative route and improvement maps,descriptions,and evaluations <br /> • Trail standards and guidelines <br /> • Focus areas conceptual designs <br /> • Graphic materials adapted from the above for use in public meetings and events <br /> • Notes from meetings and workshop <br /> 4. Final Draft Master Plan <br /> Based on guidance from City staff,the BPTC, partner agencies and input from Outreach Stage 2 and 3, <br /> TrailPeople will refine and expand the Trails Master Plan into a complete final draft. <br /> 4.1. Trails Plan Document.The products from Tasks 2 and 3 will be updated and incorporated into <br /> an organized, illustrated draft Trails Master Plan document that presents all the elements and <br /> clarifies the process to prepare the plan,the contents of the plan,and the steps and stages to <br /> implement the plan. <br /> 4.2. Trail Plan Maps and Tables. TrailPeople will prepare a final draft set of maps and tables <br /> representing the existing and planned trail system overall and detailed by segment,with trail <br /> classifications, including the respective agency maintenance and management limits,and the <br /> conceptual plan for signage and wayfinding. <br /> 4.3. New/Improved Trail Segment Requirements and Costs. The GIS will include tables covering <br /> each new or improved trails,quantifying the construction and other implementation <br /> requirements at a planning level (with input from Fehr&Peers regarding on-street <br /> improvements and overall civil improvement requirements and costs). The requirements and <br /> cost estimates will be based on TrailPeople's library of costs, and input from the City and <br /> partners about current local costs, including placeholder allowances where costs cannot be <br /> quantified. <br /> 4.4. Trail Operation and Maintenance Requirements and Costs.The GIS tables will include <br /> quantification of the trail extents and types for which the City and partners would have 0&M <br /> responsibility,and will provide cost allowances based on input from staff,to show the <br /> approximate projected cost for trail system 0&M. This will reflect trail plan phasing as <br /> determined in the Implementation Plan. <br /> 4.5. Draft Implementation Plan.TrailPeople will prepare a plan that ranks projects, prioritizes them <br /> into phases,and identifies costs for each project and phase, including maintenance costs.The <br /> plan will identify overarching and project-specific implementation steps and the responsible, <br /> supporting,or involved parties. This will include steps of more detailed planning, design, <br /> TrailPeople, Landscape Architects and Planners 4 <br />
