1 <br />1 <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Gerton, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />It was moved by Councilman McWilliams and seconded by Councilman Gerton that <br />Ordinance No. 438, amending Ordinance No. 238, establishing rates for Refuse <br />Collection, be adopted. <br />The roll call bid was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Gerton, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br />Councilman McWilliams suggested that the City Staff investigate the possibility of <br />paying the City Councilmen a fixed salary to defray the expenses accrued in con- <br />nection with their duties as City Councilmen. <br />Councilman Harding asked what the response time was for the volunteer firemen. Mr. <br />Fales replied that this could not be determined at this time as some of the firemen <br />resided in areas where the alarm could not be heard. <br />Mayor Long read a letter of invitation from Station KRON TV to the Councilmen to <br />lunch at 11:45 A.M. on Wednesday, January 19th, at the Edgewater Inn for the pur- <br />pose of discussing various problems of the communities in the area. Councilman <br />Bubics stated that he would like to represent the City Council at this luncheon. <br />There being no further business at 11 :50 P.M., it was moved by Councilman Mc- <br />Williams and seconded by Councilman Bubics that the meeting be adjourned to meet <br />again in Regular Session at 7:30 P.M. on January 24th, 1966. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Helen Woodward, <br />City Clerk <br />/John B.
