Mr. Fales read a communication from Mr.;rhilip D. Leiserson, 660 Angela Street, <br />dated March 21, 1965 which stated some proposed changes to consider in the General <br />Plan. <br />Mr. Fales read a letter from Mr. Harvey C.'Davies, stating that he would like to <br />extend his taxi cab service.to include the City of Pleasanton as soon as there is <br />sufficient business to warrant another taxi cab franchise in Pleasanton. <br />Mr. Fales read a letter from Mr. James;F. Vivrette, Alameda.County Surveyor and Road <br />Commissioner, stating that the Gas Tax Aid -To- Cities program under the Mayors' <br />Formula had been extended to June 30, 1970. <br />Mr. Fales read a letter from Mr. <br />Labor Council of Alameda County, <br />Ordinance passed in the City and <br />Protection." <br />Mr. Fales read a letter from Mrs. <br />referred to the lack of sidewalks <br />on Main Street. Mr. Fales stated <br />of Public Works. <br />Robert S. Ash, Executive. Secretary of the Central <br />dated March 18, 1965, which enclosed a copy of the <br />County of San Francisco regarding "Citizens Job Prot' <br />Gretchen Sykes, dated.March 16, 1165 in which she <br />from the High School to the Arroyo Del Valle Bridge <br />that this matter would be referred to the Director <br />Mr..Fales read a letter fiom.Mr: Don Bissell; Secretary Treasurer of the Civil <br />Engineers and Surveyors of Alameda and Contra Costa Counties Association, dated <br />March 19, 1965, regarding the 1964 Uniform Building Code. Mr. Bissell's letter <br />stated that the provisions outlined'in Chapter 70 have been found to be impractical <br />and uneconomic and requested that this chapter be omitted prior to adoption of the <br />ordinance. <br />Mr. Fales stated that he would refer this matter to the City Engineer for his re- <br />commendations. <br />ORDINANCES FOR ADOPTION (second reading) were not scheduled for this meeting. <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS were not presented at this meeting. <br />Mayor Long recessed the meeting to a Personnel Session at 11:40 P.M. <br />Mayor Long reconvened the meeting at 11:42 P.M. <br />It was moved by Mayor Long and seconded by Councilman Harding that Resolution No. <br />65 -59, appointing Judge Wm. Gale, Mr. Harold Klepfer, Mr. Don McKenzie, Mr. Jack <br />Bostedt and Councilman Reno Cairo as Pleasanton Members to the Job Corps Liaison <br />Committee, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Cairo, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />There being no further business, Mayor Long adjourned the meeting at 11:45 P.M. to <br />meet again in adjourned regular session at 8:00 P.M. on March 29, 1965. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />1 <br />Helen Woodward <br />City Clerk <br />
