MINUTES <br />of <br />THE 2ETING <br />of <br />THE CITY COUNCIL <br />Pleasanton, California <br />March 29, 1965 <br />THE CITY COUNCIL met in adjourned Regular Sessign at 8 :00 P.M. on the above date with <br />Mayor Long presiding. <br />ROLL CALL by the City Clerk evidenced the following attendance: Councilmen Bubics, <br />Cairo, McWilliams and Mayor Long present. Councilman Harding absent. Mr. Fales, <br />City Manager, Mr. Struthers, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, City Engineer and Mrs. <br />Woodward, City Clerk were present. <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG was led by Mayor Long. <br />MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE COUNCIL <br />Mr. Donald Seaver, 4242 School Street, representing the Swim -to -live program, stated <br />that the Pleasanton School District could not subsidize the program and requested <br />that the City of Pleasanton do so. Mr. Fales explained that any assurance from the <br />City Council was difficult until the total Recreation Budget for 1965 -66 was presented <br />Mr. Fales stated that the Recreation Budget might be completed in two or three weeks. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS were not scheduled for this meeting. <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br />Reports of the Planning Commission re: Approval of Tentative Subdivision Map, Tract <br />No. 2724 (Highland Oaks; Schulte Blackwell) <br />Mr. Fales read the report of the Planning Commission and explained that this develop- <br />ment will conform to all applicable ordinances and regulations of the City of Pleasan- <br />ton but will be developed under the control of Alameda County. Action on this matter <br />was to be considered later on the agenda. <br />N <br />Councilman. Harding joined the meeting at 8:35 P.M. <br />Re.ort of the Plannin: Commission re: One- ear time extension from Aril 8 1965 <br />for Tract No. 2573 (Mission Park) <br />Mr. Fales read the above report regarding Tract No. 2573. <br />It was moved by Councilman McWilliams that Resolution No. 65 -60, extending the Ten- <br />tative Subdivision Map for Tract No. 2573 for a period of one year commencing April <br />8, 1965, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Cairo, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Schulte- Blackwell Agreement <br />Mr. Fales reviewed the proposed agreement between the City of Pleasanton and Schulte <br />Blackwell developers and recommended approval. Mr. Campbell presented a map of the <br />subject area and reviewed lot sizes. <br />It was moved by Councilman McWilliams and seconded by Councilman Cairo that the Tent- <br />ative Subdivision Map, Tract No. 2724, Highland Oaks, Schulte Blackwell Development <br />be approved. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Cairo, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />l ABSENT: None <br />It was moved by Councilman Cairo and seconded by Councilman McWilliams that Resolution <br />No. 65 -61, authorizing the City officers to execute the agreement with Schulte <br />Blackwell regarding Tract No. 2724, effective April 5, 1965, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />YES: Councilmen Bubics, Cairo, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />Councilman Harding opened a discussion on a Park Site within Tract No. 2724. <br />
