MINUTES of THE 2ETING of THE CITY COUNCIL Pleasanton, California March 29, 1965 THE CITY COUNCIL met in adjourned Regular Sessign at 8 :00 P.M. on the above date with Mayor Long presiding. ROLL CALL by the City Clerk evidenced the following attendance: Councilmen Bubics, Cairo, McWilliams and Mayor Long present. Councilman Harding absent. Mr. Fales, City Manager, Mr. Struthers, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, City Engineer and Mrs. Woodward, City Clerk were present. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG was led by Mayor Long. MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE COUNCIL Mr. Donald Seaver, 4242 School Street, representing the Swim -to -live program, stated that the Pleasanton School District could not subsidize the program and requested that the City of Pleasanton do so. Mr. Fales explained that any assurance from the City Council was difficult until the total Recreation Budget for 1965 -66 was presented Mr. Fales stated that the Recreation Budget might be completed in two or three weeks. PUBLIC HEARINGS were not scheduled for this meeting. REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS Reports of the Planning Commission re: Approval of Tentative Subdivision Map, Tract No. 2724 (Highland Oaks; Schulte Blackwell) Mr. Fales read the report of the Planning Commission and explained that this develop- ment will conform to all applicable ordinances and regulations of the City of Pleasan- ton but will be developed under the control of Alameda County. Action on this matter was to be considered later on the agenda. N Councilman. Harding joined the meeting at 8:35 P.M. Re.ort of the Plannin: Commission re: One- ear time extension from Aril 8 1965 for Tract No. 2573 (Mission Park) Mr. Fales read the above report regarding Tract No. 2573. It was moved by Councilman McWilliams that Resolution No. 65 -60, extending the Ten- tative Subdivision Map for Tract No. 2573 for a period of one year commencing April 8, 1965, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Cairo, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long NOES: None ABSENT: None REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER Schulte- Blackwell Agreement Mr. Fales reviewed the proposed agreement between the City of Pleasanton and Schulte Blackwell developers and recommended approval. Mr. Campbell presented a map of the subject area and reviewed lot sizes. It was moved by Councilman McWilliams and seconded by Councilman Cairo that the Tent- ative Subdivision Map, Tract No. 2724, Highland Oaks, Schulte Blackwell Development be approved. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Cairo, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long NOES: None l ABSENT: None It was moved by Councilman Cairo and seconded by Councilman McWilliams that Resolution No. 65 -61, authorizing the City officers to execute the agreement with Schulte Blackwell regarding Tract No. 2724, effective April 5, 1965, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: YES: Councilmen Bubics, Cairo, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long NOES: None ABSENT: None Councilman Harding opened a discussion on a Park Site within Tract No. 2724.
