It was moved by Councilman Cairo and seconded by Councilman Harding that the recom- <br />mendations of the City Manager be approved and a copy of the City Manager's Report No. <br />44 be forwarded to both the School District and to the Augmented Committee on Juvenile <br />Delinquency and the City Council continue to study this matter. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Cairo, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />Tract No. 2659, Rosepointe;.Approval of Final Subdivision Map, Subdivision Agreement <br />Mr. Fales reported that the Final Subdivision map and improvement plans have been <br />checked by the Public Works Department and that the necessary payments, bonds and <br />subdivision agreement have been rec3ived. <br />It was moved by Councilman McWilliams and seconded by Councilman Bubics that Res- <br />olution No. 65 -56, approving the Final Subdivision Map and authorizing execution of <br />the Subdivision Agreement for Tract No. 2659, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as. follows <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Cairo, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />Matters For the... Information of the Council <br />Mr. Fales stated that the Engineer of Work for Assessment District No. 64 -3 and the <br />real estate appraiser, Mr. David M. DeVoe have recommended that the City Council <br />authorize the execution of contracts and agreements to obtain rights -of -way with <br />property owners designated as parcels 523 and 519, within the proposed Arroyo Del <br />Valle Interceptor Sewer, Assessment District No. 64 -3. <br />It was moved by Councilman Harding and seconded by Councilman Bubics, that Resolution <br />No. 65 -57, authorizing the City officers to execute right -of -way contracts with <br />property owners covering parcels 519 and 523 within the proposed Arroyo Del Valle <br />Interceptor Sewer, Assessment No. 64 -3, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Cairo, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />Mr. Fales requested authorization to purchase a P.H. Measuring Device to check the <br />acidity of sewage effluent. He stated that the acid waste can ruin the sewage treat- <br />ment plant. This P.H. Measure Device will cost $750.00 to $1,000.00. <br />It was moved by Councilman Cairo and seconded by Councilman Bubics, that Resolution <br />No. 65 -58, authorizing the City Manager to purchase a P.H. Measuring Device for the <br />Sewage System, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Cairo, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />Mr. Fales stated that the luncheon scheduled by the City of Livermore with the South- <br />ern Pacific and Western Pacific Railroad officials for Friday, March 26th at Castle- <br />wood has been confirmed. <br />Mr. Fales stated that a joint City Council Planning Commission study session has <br />been scheduled for March 24 in order to discuss land use allocation for the east <br />side of First St. between Vineyard and Kottinger Avenues. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />Mr. Fales read a letter dated March 15, 1965 from Mr. Harry Shackelton, Chairman of <br />the former Pleasanton Township Sewage Disposal Study Committee. The letter stated <br />that since the activity of the Committee ceased in June, 1961 when a valley -wide <br />committee was formed, there was a balance of $370.23 from funds contrubuted from the <br />City of Pleasanton, Alameda County, the Chamber of Commerce and ether organizations, <br />which the Pleasanton Township Sewage Disposal Study Committee, by unanimous vote, <br />determined to forward this amount to the City of Pleasanton. <br />It was moved by Councilman Cairo and seconded by Councilman Bubics that $370.23 be <br />accepted from the Pleasanton Township Sewage Disposal Study Committee. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Cairo, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />
