It was moved by Councilman Cairo and seconded by Councilman Harding that the recom- mendations of the City Manager be approved and a copy of the City Manager's Report No. 44 be forwarded to both the School District and to the Augmented Committee on Juvenile Delinquency and the City Council continue to study this matter. Information of the Council Mr. Fales stated that the Engineer of Work for Assessment District No. 64 -3 and the real estate appraiser, Mr. David M. DeVoe have recommended that the City Council authorize the execution of contracts and agreements to obtain rights -of -way with property owners designated as parcels 523 and 519, within the proposed Arroyo Del Valle Interceptor Sewer, Assessment District No. 64 -3. It was moved by Councilman Harding and seconded by Councilman Bubics, that Resolution No. 65 -57, authorizing the City officers to execute right -of -way contracts with property owners covering parcels 519 and 523 within the proposed Arroyo Del Valle Interceptor Sewer, Assessment No. 64 -3, be adopted. Measuring Device to check the acidity of sewage effluent. He stated that the acid waste can ruin the sewage treat- ment plant. This P.H. Measure Device will cost $750.00 to $1,000.00. Mr. Fales stated that a joint City Council Planning Commission study session has been scheduled for March 24 in order to discuss land use allocation for the east side of First St. between Vineyard and Kottinger Avenues. COMMUNICATIONS Mr. Fales read a letter dated March 15, 1965 from Mr. Harry Shackelton, Chairman of the former Pleasanton Township Sewage Disposal Study Committee. The letter stated that since the activity of the Committee ceased in June, 1961 when a valley -wide committee was formed, there was a balance of $370.23 from funds contrubuted from the City of Pleasanton, Alameda County, the Chamber of Commerce and ether organizations, which the Pleasanton Township Sewage Disposal Study Committee, by unanimous vote, determined to forward this amount to the City of Pleasanton. It was moved by Councilman Cairo and seconded by Councilman Bubics that $370.23 be accepted from the Pleasanton Township Sewage Disposal Study Committee.
