Pleasanton Avenue across from 2 Locust 1 Dead <br />Fairgrounds. 1 split and dying. <br />Replaced with 6 Scarlet Oak <br />It was moved by Councilman Harding and seconded by Councilman Bubics that the 1965 <br />Tree Removal and Replacement Program as reported be the City Manager, be approved. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Cairo <br />Approval of Final Subdivision Map, Subdivision Agreement; Tract No. 2680 (Pleasanton <br />Valley Unit #3) <br />Mr. Fales advised the Council that this map and improvement plans have been approved <br />by the Director of Public Works and that the necessary payments, bonds and the sub- <br />division agreement are in order. <br />Ir was moved by Councilman Harding and seconded by Councilman McWilliams that Res- <br />olution No. 65 -30, approving the Final Subdivision Map and agreement for Tract No. <br />2680, Pleasanton Valley Unit No. 3, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Cairo <br />Approval of Final Subdivision Map, Subdivision Agreement; Tract No. 2742 (Pleasanton <br />Valley Unit No. 4) <br />Mr. Fales stated that this map and improvement plans have been approved by the Direct <br />or of Public Works and that all necessary payments, bonds and the subdivision agree- <br />ment are in order. <br />It was moved by Councilman McWilliams and seconded by Councilman Bubics that Res- <br />olution No. 65 -31, approving the Final Subdivision Map and Agreement for Tract No. <br />2742, Pleasanton Valley Unit No. 4, be adopted. <br />The rd 1 call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Cairo <br />Mayor Long recessed the meeting at 8:58 P.M. <br />Mayor Long reconvened the meeting at 9:04 P.M. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Adoption of the New Pleasanton Area General Plan, being an amendment to the General <br />Plan dated April 15, 1960, and covering an enlarged area, bounded by Interstate <br />Highway 580, the Pleasanton Township Boundary and Isable Avenue, Vallecitos Road <br />�SR 84), and Pleasanton Ridge. <br />Mayor Long declared the Public Hearing on the above matter, which was continued <br />from the meeting of February 15th, open. <br />Mr. Fales reviewed the report of the Planning Commission, dated February 11th, and <br />opaned the discussion on the section of the report entitled "Industrial Areas" <br />Mr. H. J. Deetz, owner of the Deetz Construction Company, Inc. 4227 Pleasanton Ave. <br />whose property is currently zoned General Commercial but which the Proposed General <br />Plan would allocate as high density residential, proposed a dead line date of 1990 to <br />remove all equipment and buildings to a location out of the City limits of Pleasanton <br />and when the City Park that is planned across the Arroyo Del Valle is operational, a <br />all the creek bed in his holding would be deeded to the City. Mr. Deetz displayed <br />pictures and maps showing the extensive underground utilities pertinent to his gravel <br />oil, and bottled gas operation. He explained the cost involved in moving his operat- <br />ion to a different location. Mr. Deetz explained how a wall 10 to 12 feet high <br />could be installed to hide the view of their operation from adjoining neighbors. <br />Mr. Fales explained that the Planning Commission and /or adjoining neighbors could <br />object to his operation. <br />Mr. Paul Zeanah, representative of the General Electric Co. located on Vallecitos <br />Rd. requested that their property be designated as General Industrial with a buffer <br />strip of limited Industrial surrounding the General Industrial Area. Mr. Fales <br />advised him that this will be referred to the Planning Commission. <br />
