Update, staff presented the draft code update to the Economic Vitality Committee,
Economic Development & Government Relations Committee of the Chamber of
Commerce, the Downtown Vitality Committee and Board of Directors of the Pleasanton
Downtown Association, and invited all of these groups to participate in a stakeholder
meeting on November 9, 2016. Staff has been in direct contact with the Hacienda
Owners Association in response to the changes proposed in response to comments.
ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT
This project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to
Section 15061(b)(3), as it has been determined that the Municipal Code amendment will
not cause a significant negative effect on the environment. The changes to the Municipal
Code will not intensify land uses, result in land use incompatibilities, or generate other
unmitigated impacts beyond those that would result from the existing Municipal Code.
CONCLUSION
The proposed Municipal Code update is intended to simplify the existing code language
and streamline the code's overall organization. The changes identified in this agenda
report are primarily to address concerns by the Hacienda Owners Association, and to
make other modifications to reduce ambiguity.
S u b m if v4po by: °tee
4t
Gerry Beaudin
Director of
Community Development
Approved y:
Nelson o
City Manager
Attachments:
1.
