TASK 5: MARKET ANALYSIS <br /> • A multi-pronged strategy will be developed to optimize public input and will inform <br /> recommended strategies Nelson/Nygaard will confer with project management team staff <br /> to determine a preferred approach All survey results will be entered into a database and <br /> analyzed for key findings to be included in a report that summarizes the attitudes and <br /> awareness of Paratransit Services and the potential for use of other modes of <br /> transportation It will be important to gauge attitudes towards potential use of various <br /> transportation modes including demographic and socio-economic data A combination of <br /> the following will be employed <br /> o Conduct a survey that is promoted via utility bills, city newsletters, public <br /> notices and through stakeholder emails to Tri-Valley residents (Dublin, <br /> Livermore, Pleasanton and Sunnol). The survey instrument will consist of both <br /> an online link and a callback option for individual who prefer a phone call The <br /> survey link will have distinct URL Survey respondents will have the opportunity <br /> to describe their current trip patterns, perceptions of service quality, and unmet <br /> needs <br /> o Complete an intercept survey at specific locations Recruited participants will <br /> be given a choice of completing the survey on the spot, going to the online link, or <br /> being interviewed via telephone at a later time Nelson/Nygaard will have <br /> individuals conducting the survey/distributing information at locations in each <br /> Tn-Valley city, Dublin, Livermore, and Pleasanton on specific dates and times <br /> o Develop a Nextdoor survey 400 valid surveys will be completed, providing 90% <br /> confidence interval Participant quotas will be established based on key <br /> community demographics to ensure the survey is representative of the target <br /> markets Surveys will be provided in English and Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, <br /> and Korean A telephone survey can be completed in additional languages if <br /> necessary The project management team staff will determine incentive for <br /> participation <br /> TASK 5 Deliverables: <br /> e Draft survey form <br /> O Final survey sampling plan <br /> ® Technical Report 3 Survey Results <br /> 12 ' Page <br />
