Proposal for Pleasanton Downtown Specific Plan Update
Revised Scope and Budget—October 14, 2016
Task 2: [Issue Ddene okat rn
2-A Kickoff Meeting with Task Force (TF) #1 (D&B). At the first TF meeting, members
will be introduced to the project and the consultant team and will be asked to
provide their vision and priorities for the Specific Plan revision process
2-B Project Website (D&B) D&B will design, develop and host a stand-alone website for
the project with a unique URL, which can also have links to the City's main website
The site will feature information/FAQs about the project, a simple schedule, notices
about upcoming meetings and workshops,a library of all interim and final products,
and an opportunity for people to sign up to receive email notices about the project
and submit comments if so desired Comment submissions and email addresses
submitted will be directed to a City email address, City staff will be responsible for
compiling comments received and maintaining and utilizing the database of email
addresses for notification D&B will update the website on a regular basis as new
documents are produced and meetings are announced Upon conclusion of the
project, all website content will be provided to the City
2-C Online Interactive Outreach (D&B) To supplement the basic project website, D&B
will develop an interactive site aimed at collecting community feedback on various
aspects of the project, using the tool Maptionnaire (https //maptionnaire com/)
Maptionnaire allows for highly customized online engagement that is specifically
designed for map- and image-based input and can be combined with typical survey
questions Users can place markers on maps to indicate locations they would like to
see various improvements, draw paths that show where they travel, and other
similar tools Maptionnaire would be used at two phases in the process during
initial issue identification (this subtask) and in Task 4,Alternatives Refinement
2-D Outreach Meetings (2) (D&B, CA, UFS) Rather than conduct a traditional large
workshop, the team will conduct up to two workshop-like meetings in various
venues throughout Pleasanton, with locations and audiences at Staff's choosing For
example, these could be at the Pleasanton Downtown Association, at the Saturday
Farmers' Market, or an open house held at a school, library, or other ongoing public
event The Maptionnaire site would be advertised at these events and may be able to
be provided at them as well, on tablets or similar UFS will participate in one
meeting and CA will participate in one meeting
2-E "Road Show" Materials (D&B) So that staff can extend the reach of public input
beyond what the consultant team can attend, D&B will provide "road show"
outreach materials to staff that can be used at other events This way, input will be
collected in the same format
2-F Issue Identification Summary Memorandum (D&B) D&B will review the input
received through all outreach activities in this task and prepare a summary
memorandum describing the main ideas, priorities, and concerns heard This
2
