City of Pleasanton DRAFT
Recycled Water Infrastructure Expansion Phase 1A Design of Additional Improvements
o Designing equipment and enclosure foundation and anchorage and submitting
calculations for these items stamped by a licensed structural engineer;City will be
responsible for review of these calculations
o Complying with applicable codes in design of the package system
o The manufacturer will be the Responsible Engineer for the packaged system design,
including professional stamping and signature.
• Pump station manufacturer will provide control strategy and P&ID for the packaged system.
• The City will coordinate power service requirements with PG&E, based on power requirements
provided by the equipment manufacturers.
• No significant design changes will be directed by the City after completion of the 75%design
effort.
• Drawings and specifications for booster pump station and required site modifications will be
supplement the contract documents for the Phase 1A project.
• Supplemental specifications for commodity items(conduit, wire, meter panel, miscellaneous
instruments)will be incorporated on the drawings
• Development of Title 24 compliance forms is not included.
• Power is available along Parkside Drive. Project will include a conduit run from power pole to
booster station site and will utilize existing spare conduit installed with Phase 1A pipeline.
• Booster station site is at the south end of the Arroyo Mocho pipeline crossing, south of the
paved parking lot and on existing turf grass.
• Booster station will visually screened within a fence(PVC coated chain link with green PVC slats)
with gate access.
• All packaged equipment will be in manufacturer-provided weather-proof enclosures within the
fenced site perimeter.
• 3 phase power at proper voltage for pumping equipment is available from a local transformer
vault or service box along Parkside Drive.
• It is assumed the surge control requirements can be incorporated into the packaged pump
system (manufacturer responsibility)and not require additional design by RMC
• City will submit power service application to PGE and pay the required fees to initiate PG&E
engineering work.
• Standby power for pumping is not required
• Provisions will be included for plugging in a portable generator
• City will provide control panel and programming, radio or other telemetry to SCADA and all
wiring and incidental materials and work for an operable booster pump station
• RMC design will land field instrument cables to a common terminal strip to be used by City's
panel manufacturer for landing signals to the panel
• City will provide panel dimensions and weights. It is assumed that the panel can be incorporated
in to the package manufacturer's skid in the field, without design of separate support.
• Survey of site not required. City GIS mapping and Phase 1A mapping will be used for site
development design
• Scope does not include landscaping or irrigation system improvements
• Scope does not include construction phase support, which would be defined under an additional
amendment.
Scope of Work 4
