RMC will obtain quotations from each manufacturer and provide these to the City to <br /> facilitate pre-purchase of the packaged system. It is anticipated that the <br /> recommended manufacturer will be the lowest cost provider. <br /> 4. 75% Design including: <br /> a. Develop pump station facility and piping modification layouts to accommodate <br /> manufacturer packages(general,at this stage, unless a manufacturer has been <br /> selected for pre-purchase) <br /> b. Develop 1-line diagram and electrical site plan to route power from PG&E supply to <br /> a meter(assumed to be located at the fence line)and from meter to the packaged <br /> system. <br /> c. Prepare Preliminary Design cost estimate(utilizing manufacturer quote for all <br /> packaged components) <br /> d. Prepare a brief summary memorandum, including a site layout and description of <br /> modifications required to support the new pump station.The Predesign Transmittal <br /> Memorandum will incorporate general requirements from manufacturers unless a <br /> specific manufacturer has been selected for pre-purchase at this stage of the <br /> project.To expedite schedule, no review meeting is anticipated. <br /> 5. Perform Final Design for Booster PS <br /> a. Based on 75%Design and comments received from City <br /> b. Prepare design drawings in AutoCAD 2014 platform as required to supplement <br /> Phase 1A drawings <br /> c. Prepare CSI 16 Division format specifications only as required to supplement the <br /> Phase 1A specifications. Elements of the project included in the manufacturer's <br /> packages will not be specified, but the details of the system will be provided. <br /> d. Submittals will include 90%and final submittal for change order negotiation by City <br /> 6. Assist City in Change Order negotiations through technical clarifications and responding to <br /> questions. <br /> 7. Coordinate Task work with City and Team <br /> 8. Perform QAQC activities on work products <br /> Assumptions: <br /> • The City accepts Grundfos BoosterpaQ or Gorman Rupp Base Mounted Pump System as a basis <br /> for pump station design,with a third manufacturer to be determined <br /> • The City will provide demand information for modeling and basis for sizing of the booster <br /> station. <br /> • Booster pump station design will be packaged for execution under a change order to the City's <br /> Phase 1A contractor,and the City will pre-purchase the packaged pump station (no detailed <br /> specifications required) <br /> • Performance, mechanical,structural and electrical requirements for packaged system <br /> solicitation will be high level; in general, package manufacturer will be responsible for: <br /> o Designing and documenting mechanical,electrical and internal package controls <br /> systems to meet narrative requirements <br /> Scope of Work 3 <br />
