Licensees under the act, regardless of their specific function, would be <br /> required to have employees trained to a uniform standard. <br /> AB 1564(Williams) Emergency Services:Wireless 911 Calls:Routing.(League of California Cities <br /> Support Letter) <br /> Requires the Governor's Office of Emergency Services(OES) to work in conjunction with the California <br /> Highway Patrol, local Public Safety Answering Points and the wireless industry to take all necessary <br /> steps to maximize the efficiency of the 911 emergency response system, including improving the <br /> routing of emergency calls to the appropriate first responders, which has a critical impact on response <br /> times. <br /> AB 1758(M.Stone)Telecommunications: California Advances Services Fund. (League of California <br /> Cities Letter of Support) <br /> Increases funding that can be collected and deposited in various programs that improve broadband <br /> infrastructure and access. It builds on the statutory goal for California to achieve broadband <br /> deployment to 98 percent of households,which would serve as a trigger for investments to achieve <br /> higher-speed networks. This measure also, amongst other things, sets an internet adoption goal of 90 <br /> percent of all households by 2023 and authorizes funding to assist low-income households through a <br /> coordinated grant program. <br /> AB 2817(Chiu) Low-Income Housing Tax Credits:Allocation Increase.(League of California Cities <br /> Letter of Support) <br /> Increase the annual allocation of Low Income Housing Tax Credits(LIHTCs) from$70 to$300 million <br /> per year. <br /> 81 Page <br />
