WHEREAS, the City staff is in the process of revising the City's Planned Unit Development Ordinance, which will affect the criteria for development, the manner in which properties develop thereunder, and the manner in which placement of properties in said district are initiated; and WHEREAS, the properties listed herein are capable of being placed into the PUD classification, which would be affected should said properties attempt to develop prior to the effective date of the PUD revision; and WHEREAS, the public health, safety and welfare require the placement of these properties into an S (Study)District pending the completion of the studies mentioned above, in order that their development does not proceed at variance with the community's goal~ and objectives and zoning studies presently underway; and WHEREAS, the owners of said properties will not be unduly inconvenienced by passage of this ordinance as an urgency measure since it will last for only four months, any extension thereof must comply with the hearing requirements of the State Zoning Act (~65850 et seq. of the Government Code), and any or all of the affected properties can be removed from the Study District at any time that the necessary studies are completed. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES ORDAIN, ON AN URGENCY BASIS, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Zoning Map of the. City of Pleasanton, dated April 18, 1960, referred to in Section 2-12.12, Chapter 2 (Zoning) of Title II (Development and Zoning) of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton into Zoning Districts, is hereby amended as follows: Zoning Unit Maps #iS1A-F as shown on the maps dated May 3, 1976, on file with the City Clerk, copies of which are attached hereto as Exhibits "A" thru 'F"and made a part hereof, shall designate the land use and zoning districts of the territory referred to therein. -2-
