Pleasanton Fire Station 2/3 Proposal January 25, 2016 Page 3 ▪ Develop conceptual plans for temporary facilities during the course of construction for both station sites. Develop preliminary Cost Estimates based upon building systems. The estimates prepared at this phase will be generally square foot cost estimates for the various building components, and will include a design development contingency (to allow for potential increases as the design is refined further in the later stages of the project). Cost estimates will include required modifications for Station 2 and either modifications or the demolition and replacement of Station 3. ▪ Prepare a design narrative describing the feasibility of the design approach for both stations, including Architectural, Civil, Electrical, Structural, and Mechanical engineering as well as descriptions of proposed landscape design approach. Develop preliminary needs assessment report to include existing conditions analysis, proposed floor plan modifications and preliminary cost estimates ▪ Make required submissions to City for preliminary report review and comments. - Make corrections and adjustments to incorporate City comments and make final presentation to City Council to present report findings. • For the Concept Design Phase we have included three coordination meetings at a desired location with selected City staff and stakeholders. - At the conclusion of the Needs Assessment Phase a proposal will be provided for the additional services required to provide complete construction documents for the approved improvements. ADDITIONAL SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED ON AN HOURLY BASIS The following items are not included in the Basic Services, and will be provided as additional services only after written authorization is received.
