Mr. Gerry Beaudin F E H Rt P E E RS
November 9, 2015
Avenue to the west. An expansion of the study area may change the level of effort required to
complete the following tasks.
Fehr & Peers will supplement the 2015 parking demand information as documented by Hexagon
Transportation Consultants with available intersection turning movement counts and daily roadway
segment data, and the following data collector effort:
6 Intersection peak period intersection turning movement counts at up to five intersections
O 48-hour roadway segment counts at up to five locations
e Global Positioning Data and Cell Phone Data to provide the following information (please
note that this data represents a sample of all visitors to the downtown area and would be
supplemented by other data, such as total traffic counts):
o Trip origin by time of day and time of week — this data will potentially provide
information, such as, during the weekday lunch period, 20 percent of downtown
visitors (perhaps defined as those who have a duration of stay less than 2 hours) have
an origin within Hacienda Business Park
o Duration of stay—as the available parking data does not differentiate between visitor
and employee parking, this data will potentially allow for an estimate of employee
versus visitor parking demand and help establish parking time limits
o Travel Flows — this data would supplement the intersection count data to determine
the primary travel routes to the Downtown area to aid in the development of the
wayfinding program
O Spot verification of existing conditions, including:
o Inventory of loading zones and motorcycle parking
o Bicycle parking and infrastructure inventory
o Off-street, private parking lot inventory noting any restrictions
o Walking audit of public parking lots to determine potential upgrades for design,
signage, and/or lighting
o Identification of potential curb areas where on-street spaces could be added
The outcome of this task would be a series of maps, including the following:
® Existing parking supply with time restrictions, where applicable
O Existing travel flows
