• <br /> A. Salary Increase. A 8% salary increase effective July 1, 1974. <br /> B. Health Insurance. City shall, for those employees and their <br /> dependents now or hereafter covered by the City's group health <br /> coverage (Kaiser B or Blue Cross Standard Plan) contribute a <br /> maximum of $38.50 per month toward the cost of said coverage. <br /> C. Uniform Allowance. City shall for the positions of Patrol <br /> Sergeant, Patrolman, and Animal Control Officer, increase the <br /> annual uniform maintenance allowance to $140.00 per annum. <br /> City shall for the position of Police Clerk, increase the <br /> annual uniform maintenance allowance to $117.00 per annum. <br /> D. Fair Labor Standards Act. The Fair Labor Standards Act <br /> (Federal Triage & Hour Law) has recently been amended to extend <br /> to certain categories of public employees, and it is antici- <br /> pated that the amendments may require changes in certain <br /> policies and practices currently in effect. If due to the <br /> operation of the Fair Labor Standards Act it is determined <br /> by the City Attorney that, <br /> 1. certain hours are to be considered time worked, <br /> which under the present policy and practice of <br /> the City prior to the operation of the Fair <br /> Labor Standards Act were not considered time <br /> worked and for which, accordingly, no com- <br /> pensation was paid, and/or <br /> 2. overtime payments are required where under <br /> the present policy and practice of the City <br /> prior to the operation of the Fair Labor <br /> Standards Act payment was made at the straight- <br /> time rate, <br /> City shall have the option of cancelling the specific provision <br /> of the rules, regulations, ordinance, or memorandum of under- <br /> standing involved, and if City exercises such option, said <br /> • <br /> provision shall be null and void and of no further force and <br /> effect. <br /> If City cancels any such sp=:• ific provision and such can- <br /> cellation affects employees covered by this memorandum, the <br /> 2. <br />
